This finger holder secures the crop-engagement finger to the header auger or pickup drum. It acts as the mounting interface between the finger base and the drum surface, maintaining the correct finger angle and radial position during rotation. A worn or deformed holder allows the finger to shift, causing uneven crop feeding and increased wear on the finger tip and drum slot. The holder is machined to match the original bore and flange geometry, so the replacement finger seats without additional shimming. On reinstall, ensure the retaining bolt is torqued to specification and that the holder flange sits flush against the drum face.
