This left-side disc stanchion supports the disc blade assembly on a tillage machine. It connects the disc hub to the frame, maintaining the blade’s vertical alignment and working angle as the implement moves through the soil. A bent or worn stanchion causes the disc to run out of true, leading to uneven soil penetration and increased draft force. The original manufacturer machines the stanchion to match the frame’s mounting bore and the hub’s spindle geometry, so the disc retains its intended offset without shimming.
