Mann Filter - HU12140X - Oil Filter

This engine oil filter removes particulate contamination from the lubricating oil before it reaches the main bearing journals and turbocharger supply. It mounts in the spin-on housing on the engine block; the full-flow element passes the entire pump output, so any restriction forces the bypass valve open and sends unfiltered oil to the rotating assembly. A clogged filter causes a gradual drop in oil pressure at idle and increases the risk of bearing scuffing under load. Mann-Filter manufactures this replacement element to the same pleat count and bypass-valve cracking pressure as the original, so the filter housing threads seat fully without adapter sleeves. On installation, lightly oil the gasket face and hand-tighten until the gasket contacts the housing, then advance by the specified rotation.
