SF-Filter - SP5152 - Engine Oil Filter

This engine oil filter removes particulate from the lubricating oil before it reaches the main bearings and turbocharger. It mounts on the engine block and receives oil from the pump; the filter media traps wear debris and combustion byproducts that would otherwise accelerate bearing wear. A clogged filter forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and increasing the risk of scoring on journals and bushings. The manufacturer machines the sealing face and thread to match the original housing, ensuring the bypass valve seats at the correct cracking pressure. On installation, lightly lubricate the gasket and tighten the filter by hand until the gasket contacts the housing, then give an additional three-quarter turn.
