This hydraulic oil filter removes particulate contamination from the hydraulic circuit, protecting pumps, valves, and actuators from abrasive wear. It mounts in the filter housing on the return side of the system, where it captures debris generated during normal operation. A clogged filter element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerating internal component damage. The manufacturer machines the sealing surfaces to match the housing bore, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and maintains its cracking pressure. Replace the housing gasket when installing a new element, and tighten the cap to the specified torque.
