SF-Filter - HY90637 - Hydraulic Oil Filter

This hydraulic oil filter element removes particulate contamination from the hydraulic circuit before fluid reaches the high-pressure pump and downstream valves. It mounts inside a dedicated housing on the return side of the loop, where it protects the pump swash plate and control spools from abrasive wear. A clogged element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate internal component damage. The manufacturer machines the filter media and end caps to match the housing's seal geometry, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and maintains its cracking pressure. On reinstallation, replace the housing seal and tighten the cap to the specified torque.
