This cabin filter captures airborne dust and particulate before it enters the operator station of a harvesting machine. It sits in the filter housing on the intake side of the HVAC system, trapping chaff, soil fines, and pollen that would otherwise pass through the evaporator and heater core. A loaded filter reduces airflow to the cabin vents and increases blower motor load, which can lead to overheating of the motor windings. The filter is constructed with a pleated media layer bonded to a rigid frame that seals against the housing gasket. On replacement, ensure the gasket surface is clean and the filter is seated fully to prevent unfiltered bypass air.
