This hydraulic oil filter removes particulate from the gearbox and hydraulic system circuit before fluid reaches the pump. It mounts in the filter housing on the return side of the loop. A clogged element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate wear on pump components and valve spools. The manufacturer machines the thread and seal face to match the housing bore, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and maintains its cracking pressure. Replace the housing seal on reinstall and torque the cap to specification.
