This hydraulic oil filter removes particulate contamination from the hydraulic circuit before the fluid reaches the pump and control valves. It mounts in the filter housing on the return side of the system, where trapped debris protects the piston pumps and spool valves from abrasive wear. A clogged filter element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate internal component damage. The manufacturer machines the sealing surfaces to match the housing bore, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and maintains its cracking pressure. Replace the housing O-ring during installation and torque the cover to specification.
