This cabin filter element captures airborne particulates from the air entering the operator station. It is installed in the housing located within the HVAC system, upstream of the evaporator and heater core. A loaded filter reduces airflow, leading to insufficient cabin pressurization and poor defogging performance. The manufacturer specifies the pleat geometry and media density to match the original housing's pressure drop and dust-holding capacity. When replacing, ensure the sealing foam contacts the housing frame evenly to prevent unfiltered bypass air.
