This fuel filter removes particulate and water from the fuel supply before it reaches the injection system. It is installed in the fuel line between the tank and the high-pressure pump, where it protects the injectors and pump internals from abrasive contaminants. A restricted filter reduces fuel flow, causing power loss and hard starting under load. The filter element is constructed to match the original housing's sealing geometry, ensuring the bypass valve closes at the correct differential pressure. Replace the filter at the interval specified for the host machine, and drain any accumulated water from the bowl before reinstalling the housing cap.
