This right-angle gearbox transmits power from the tractor's PTO shaft to the seed drill's metering drive system. It changes the direction of rotation by 90 degrees, allowing the driveline to route around the frame and reach the distribution head. A worn gearbox produces a whining noise during operation and can cause intermittent seed flow as the drive torque fluctuates.
