This drive chain transmits rotary motion from the gearbox output to the cross-shaft that moves the unloading auger in the grain tank. It is a roller chain, sized to match the sprockets on the two shafts. A worn or stretched chain will cause the auger to slip, leading to inconsistent grain flow and potential plugging at the discharge opening. The chain is manufactured to the same pitch and roller geometry as the original assembly, so it seats correctly on the existing sprockets without requiring shimming or sprocket replacement. On installation, adjust the chain tension to the specified deflection and verify that the master link clip is oriented with its closed end facing the direction of travel.
