This chain link connects two lengths of roller chain in the header or forage harvester drive system. It is installed by inserting the link pins through the chain end plates and securing them with the spring clip. A worn or missing link causes the chain to separate under load, stopping the driven component. The link matches the original pitch and roller profile so the chain runs smoothly over the sprockets without binding.
