This air conditioning compressor circulates refrigerant through the closed-loop HVAC system of the host tractor. It is belt-driven from the engine and compresses low-pressure refrigerant vapor into a high-pressure, high-temperature gas that then flows to the condenser. The compressor features a 12-volt electromagnetic clutch that engages and disengages the drive pulley to control cooling demand. The clutch pulley has six grooves to match the drive belt. A failing compressor typically produces reduced cooling output, unusual noise from the clutch or internal swash plate, or visible oil leakage from the shaft seal. This unit is manufactured by Sanden and is built to the same displacement and mounting geometry as the original assembly, so the existing bracket and belt alignment are retained without modification. When replacing, ensure the system is evacuated, the receiver-drier is replaced, and the compressor oil charge is verified before charging the system.
