The double-acting sliding sleeve is fixed in the locked position by a pre-tensioned spring. It can be moved axially in both directions for coupling or uncoupling. The two halves of the quick coupling are locked together by detent balls. The sliding sleeve can be installed in a bulkhead with retaining rings. This gives the socket the function of a break-away coupling. If a plug is torn off from such a mounted socket, the system is automatically uncoupled and the valves close, thus preventing damage to the hose line and possible oil loss. Interchangeable with ISO 7241-1 A.
