Ergonomically designed and intuitively operated battery-powered pole pruner STIHL HTA 30 enables ambitious private users to work efficiently and comfortably when caring for gardens, green areas, and trees. Thanks to tool-free adjustment of the stable telescopic pole and automatic chain tensioning with an integrated spring mechanism, the STIHL HTA 30 provides effective assistance when pruning high branches, as well as when caring for hedges and removing dead wood. Chain tensioning can be quickly and intuitively adjusted to the optimal level, minimizing work interruptions – simply open and close the sprocket cover. The tensioning lever integrated with the branch hook sets the correct chain tension, facilitating quick, tool-free assembly of the cutting unit after cleaning or replacing the chain. The tensioning lever and all other controls of the HTA 30 can be conveniently operated while wearing work gloves.
The electric motor operates quietly and with low vibration, so you can perform maintenance work without hearing protection, even in noise-sensitive areas. The very compact and slim cutting head provides good visibility of the guide bar during cutting and high maneuverability in tight spaces in tree crowns. The HTA 30 is equipped with a STIHL 1/4" PM3 chain and a STIHL Light 01 guide bar, ensuring clean cuts and fast work progress. This allows you to comfortably and precisely cut branches up to 17 cm in diameter.
Operating the STIHL HTA 30 is simple and is done via a control handle with softgrip elements and ergonomic unlocking. For working comfort, the pole is equipped with a rubberized cover, allowing quick and flexible gripping along its entire length, depending on the working height. Thanks to unlocking on both sides, an ergonomic handle, and a very low total weight of 3.6 kg, working with the HTA 30 is exceptionally comfortable, efficient, and not tiring. Another advantage is the solid base integrated with the housing, protecting the device from dirt and moisture. Additionally, the HTA 30 has a hanging loop to which an optional shoulder strap can be attached, and a ring for practical wall storage.
The infinitely adjustable telescopic pole of the STIHL HTA 30 can be extended to 280 cm; the total tool length ranges from 190 cm to 280 cm. At maximum pole extension, the HTA 30 is suitable for working at heights up to 4.5 m, and in its shortened form it allows easy transport. With up to 140 cuts and 28 minutes of work on a single charge of the AS 2 battery (measured on 5 x 5 cm spruce wood), the HTA 30 provides sufficient power for most maintenance tasks.

Chain tension can be quickly and easily adjusted without tools, thanks to the spring mechanism. By briefly opening and closing the sprocket cover using the folding handle, the saw chain will be automatically tensioned to the appropriate level. Optimal chain tension not only increases cutting performance and safety, but also extends the chain's service life through reduced wear.
Thanks to the extendable telescopic handle, you can conveniently perform work at great heights from ground level. This is an ideal solution for pruning high branches or trimming tall hedges. The telescopic handle can be adjusted without tools.
