This seeding disc is the component that rotates within the seeding unit to meter individual seeds from the hopper into the delivery tube. It sits on the metering shaft inside the seed housing, where its peripheral pockets or cells pick up a controlled quantity of seed as the disc turns. A worn or damaged disc causes skips or doubles in the seed row, leading to uneven plant spacing and reduced yield potential. The original disc is machined to match the housing’s internal clearance and the shaft’s drive profile, ensuring consistent cell fill and release without binding or excessive play.
