This oil seal fits the control lever pivot of a three-point hitch linkage. It prevents hydraulic oil and external contaminants from migrating along the lever shaft into the transmission or hydraulic housing. A worn or hardened seal allows fluid seepage past the lever, which can lead to a slow drop in hitch position and eventual contamination of the hydraulic oil. The seal is manufactured to the original shaft and housing tolerances so that the lip maintains consistent contact pressure without requiring shimming or adapter sleeves. On reinstall, ensure the seal lip faces the pressurized side of the housing and that the lever shaft is free of burrs or corrosion that could damage the sealing edge.
