This right-hand plowshare with integral chisel point is the ground-engaging component that cuts and lifts the furrow slice. It mounts to the plow body and works in tandem with the left-hand share to invert the soil. The chisel point extends ahead of the share tip to reduce draft force and protect the main cutting edge from impact damage during stony conditions. Wear on the chisel or the share's cutting edge increases draft requirements and produces an uneven furrow wall. The share is drilled for four mounting bolts; the mating screw for the chisel is M12 x 35 mm. When replacing, inspect the frog or shin for wear and replace any worn fasteners.
