This right heel is the wear component that forms the trailing edge of a plow body, supporting the furrow wall and controlling the flow of turned soil. It mounts to the plow frog or shin with two bolts, and its shape determines how cleanly the furrow slice is laid over. A worn heel leaves a ragged furrow bottom and increases draft, forcing the tractor to burn more fuel to maintain depth. The manufacturer machines this part to the original profile and hole spacing so it aligns with the existing frog without re-drilling. On replacement, clean the mounting face and torque the bolts to the implement's specification.
