This thrust bearing sits between the clutch release fork and the pressure-plate fingers in the tractor drivetrain. It transmits the axial load from the clutch pedal linkage to disengage the clutch disc from the flywheel. A worn bearing produces a grinding or rumbling noise when the clutch pedal is depressed, and can eventually prevent full disengagement, making gear changes difficult. Valeo manufactures this component to match the original assembly's thrust-face geometry and spring-loaded retainer design, so it seats correctly on the release fork without requiring shimming. On installation, ensure the bearing slides freely on the transmission input-shaft guide tube and that the release fork clips are fully engaged.
