This air temperature sensor measures the intake air temperature and sends the signal to the engine control unit. It is installed in the intake tract, typically downstream of the air filter and upstream of the turbocharger or intake manifold. The ECU uses this data to adjust fuel delivery and injection timing for correct combustion. A failed or inaccurate sensor can cause poor starting, reduced power, or increased exhaust smoke. As an original AGCO component, the sensor's resistance curve matches the calibration of the host tractor's ECU, so no adaptation or programming is needed during replacement.
