This PTO gear transmits torque from the tractor engine to the implement driveline. It engages with the mating shaft inside the PTO housing, converting engine rotation into usable power for attached equipment. A worn gear produces backlash noise and can cause incomplete engagement, leading to clutch chatter or shaft damage. This component is machined to match the original tooth profile and spline geometry, so it seats correctly on the shaft without additional shimming. On installation, inspect the mating splines for wear and ensure the retaining ring is fully seated.
