This sensor monitors the position of the clutch pedal in the host tractor. It sends a signal to the engine control unit to disengage the driveline when the pedal is depressed. A failing sensor can cause erratic clutch engagement or prevent the engine from starting. The unit is threaded for installation into the pedal bracket and should be torqued to specification on reinstall.
