This seal ring fits around the clutch shaft where it passes through the clutch housing and into the gearbox. It prevents oil leakage from the gearbox along the rotating shaft, keeping the clutch housing dry. A worn or hardened seal allows oil to reach the clutch disc, causing slip and premature clutch failure. As an original AGCO part, the seal is molded to the same cross-section profile as the original assembly, which ensures it seats correctly in the housing groove and maintains the correct radial load on the shaft. Replace the seal whenever the clutch or shaft is removed; lubricate the inner lip lightly before installation to avoid dry start-up.
