This bearing supports the wheel hub on the rear axle of the host tractor. It sits between the axle housing and the hub assembly, allowing the wheel to rotate freely while carrying the vertical load of the machine. A worn bearing produces a growling noise during turns and can lead to excessive hub play, which accelerates tire wear and stresses the axle shaft. As an original-manufacturer component, it is machined to the same internal clearance and race geometry as the factory assembly, so no shimming or adapter rings are needed during installation. On reinstall, clean the housing bore and apply fresh grease to the bearing cavity before seating the hub.
