This hydraulic pump generates the oil flow that powers the tractor's implement lift, steering, and auxiliary circuits. It is mounted on the engine block and driven by a gear or shaft from the timing train. The pump draws fluid from the reservoir through a suction line and delivers it at a regulated pressure to the control valves and downstream actuators. A worn pump produces a noticeable drop in lift speed and steering response, often accompanied by whine or chatter from the hydraulic system.
