This air filter housing encloses the primary filter element on the engine intake system of the host tractor. It directs incoming air through the filter media, removing particulate before the air reaches the turbocharger or intake manifold. The housing provides a sealed path that prevents unfiltered air from bypassing the element. A cracked or distorted housing allows dust ingress, which accelerates cylinder and ring wear. The original AGCO housing is molded to match the seal groove geometry of the filter element, ensuring a consistent clamping force around the seal perimeter. When reinstalling, inspect the housing for cracks and replace the seal if it shows compression set.
