This switch controls the raise-and-lower function of the three-point hitch on the host tractor. It is mounted on the hitch control linkage and completes the electrical circuit that signals the hydraulic control valve to move. A failed switch prevents the hitch from responding to lever input, leaving the implement locked in position. The switch is an original-manufacture component, so its contact geometry matches the control-lever travel arc without requiring bracket modification.
