This washer sits between the lift cover and its mounting face in the tractor's hydraulic system. It seals the joint to prevent fluid leakage from the lift-cover cavity, which houses the internal control valves and piston assembly. A deformed or missing washer allows oil to bypass the seal face, leading to pressure loss and slow implement response. The original part is stamped to the same thickness as the factory component, so the clamp load on the cover remains within the design range. On reinstall, ensure the washer is centered on the bore and that the mounting bolts are torqued to specification.
