This hydraulic oil filter element captures solid contaminants from the hydraulic circuit before the fluid reaches the pump and control valves. It sits inside the filter housing on the pressure or return side of the loop, trapping wear particles and debris that would otherwise score spool valves and damage pump internals. A clogged element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerating component wear. As an original AGCO component, the filter media and bypass-valve cracking pressure match the housing geometry and system flow characteristics that the manufacturer designed for, so a fresh element restores the intended filtration efficiency. On reinstall, ensure the housing seal is replaced and the cap is torqued to specification.
