This acceleration sensor monitors the rotational speed of the gearbox output shaft. It sends a signal to the tractor's electronic control unit, which uses the data to adjust engine power delivery under load. A failed sensor can cause the Power Boost function to remain inactive or engage erratically, reducing tractive effort during heavy draft work. The original AGCO sensor is calibrated to the same voltage output curve as the factory-installed unit, so the control unit receives a signal within its expected range without additional programming. When replacing, ensure the sensor tip is clean and seated fully in the housing to avoid air-gap errors.
