A damaged or leaking can allows air ingress or unfiltered fluid to bypass the element, leading to pump cavitation or contamination of control valves and actuators. As an original AGCO component, the can is formed to match the seal groove and thread pitch of the housing, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and the system maintains its designed cracking pressure. On reinstallation, replace the sealing gasket and torque the can to the specified value.
