This battery disconnect switch isolates the electrical system from the battery, allowing the operator to cut all power to the tractor’s circuits. It is installed in the main power line between the battery terminal and the chassis wiring harness. When the switch is opened, it prevents parasitic drain during storage and provides a positive lockout for service safety. The switch contacts are designed to carry the full starting current without voltage drop; a worn or pitted contact face can cause intermittent power loss or failure to crank. As an original AGCO component, the switch housing and terminal geometry match the original mounting bracket and cable lug spacing, so no adapter or rewiring is required. On reinstallation, ensure the cable lugs are clean and tightened to the specified torque.
