This front axle bushing is the component that supports the pivot pin in the axle housing, allowing the axle to oscillate as the tractor moves over uneven ground. It is pressed into the bore of the axle beam and provides a bearing surface for the kingpin or pivot shaft. Wear in this bushing results in play at the axle pivot, which causes imprecise steering geometry and accelerated tire wear on the front axle. As an original AGCO part, its wall thickness and bore diameter are machined to match the housing and pivot pin clearances specified in the original assembly, so no shimming or reaming is required during installation. On replacement, ensure the bore in the axle housing is clean and free of burrs before pressing the new bushing into position.
