This hood bracket is the structural interface between the hood panel and the tractor frame. It supports the hood at its hinge or latch point, maintaining alignment during opening and closing cycles. A bent or cracked bracket causes the hood to sag, which can misalign the latch and allow vibration damage to adjacent panels. This component is manufactured to the original geometry so that the mounting holes align with the frame bosses without shimming. On reinstallation, check that all fasteners are torqued to specification and that the hood closes without binding.
