This slide is a wear component installed on the header of a grain harvester. It acts as a protective interface between the moving cutterbar and the stationary parts of the header frame, reducing friction and guiding crop material into the feed opening. As the slide wears, the gap between the cutterbar and the header floor increases, which can cause uneven feeding and allow debris to enter the drive mechanism.
