This sickle head transmits reciprocating motion from the drive arm to the knife section on the header. It connects the drive linkage to the sickle bar, converting rotary input into the linear oscillation that cuts the crop. A worn sickle head introduces play in the linkage, causing uneven knife stroke and ragged stubble. The original part matches the pin bore and slot geometry of the drive arm, maintaining the correct cutting register without requiring shimming or bushing replacement.
