This clutch disc transmits torque from the engine to the material-feeding assembly of the parent combine. It sits between the flywheel and the input shaft of the feeder housing, engaging and disengaging drive to the gathering chains and auger. A worn disc slips under load, causing inconsistent feed rate and potential plugging of the threshing mechanism. The original manufacturer machines the friction faces to the same thickness and surface finish as the original assembly, so no shimming is required during installation. On reinstall, align the splined hub with the input shaft and torque the pressure-plate bolts in a cross pattern to specification.
