This cylinder head gasket seals the combustion chamber between the cylinder head and the engine block on the host tractor. It contains the high-pressure combustion gases and prevents coolant and oil from mixing between their respective passages. A failed gasket allows compression loss into the cooling system or oil galleries, which causes overheating, misfiring, or contamination of the lubricating oil. The gasket is manufactured by AGCO to match the original stack height and bore geometry, so the clamping load from the head bolts distributes evenly across the sealing surfaces. On reinstallation, clean both mating faces thoroughly and tighten the head bolts in the sequence and to the torque value specified for the engine.
