This fuel filter removes particulate and water from the diesel supply before it reaches the high-pressure injection system. It is mounted on the engine, in the line between the lift pump and the injection pump. A restricted filter causes a pressure drop that leads to hard starting, reduced power, and potential injector damage. The original manufacturer’s housing interface matches the seal groove and thread pitch of the host engine’s filter head, ensuring no bypass leakage occurs. On replacement, drain any water from the separator bowl and prime the system according to the engine service manual.
