This hydraulic oil filter element removes particulate contamination from the hydraulic circuit before the fluid reaches the pump and downstream control valves. It is installed in the filter housing on the return side of the system, where it captures wear debris from actuators and motors. A clogged element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate pump and valve wear. The manufacturer machines the element to match the housing seal groove and bypass-valve cracking pressure of the original assembly, so a fresh filter restores full filtration without altering system flow. Replace the housing seal and torque the cap to specification during reinstallation.
