This clutch diaphragm ring sits in the pressure-plate assembly of the tractor's dry clutch system. It acts as the spring seat that transmits the release-bearing force to the diaphragm fingers, controlling engagement and disengagement of the drive. A worn or distorted ring causes uneven clamp-load distribution, leading to clutch slip or drag during gear changes. Manufactured by AGCO, the ring is formed to the original profile and thickness so the diaphragm spring maintains its designed preload and release travel. On reinstallation, ensure the ring is seated squarely in its groove and that the release bearing contacts the diaphragm fingers evenly.
