Product Description

This thermostat housing directs coolant flow between the engine block and the radiator circuit. It contains the thermostat valve that regulates coolant temperature by opening and closing the bypass passage. A cracked housing or a failed seal causes coolant loss and engine overheating. The housing is cast to match the original sealing surfaces, so the gasket seats correctly without additional sealant. When reinstalling, replace the housing gasket and tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque.
