This fuel filter with an integrated water separator removes particulate and water from the fuel stream before it reaches the high-pressure injection components. It is installed in the fuel line between the tank and the injection pump, where its internal media captures contaminants while the water-separator element collects and holds free water droplets. A clogged filter or a full water bowl restricts fuel flow, causing the engine to lose power or stall under load. The manufacturer produces this component to the same sealing geometry and media density as the original assembly, so the filter housing seals correctly and the water sensor, if present, reads accurately. Replace the filter at the interval specified for the host machine and drain the water bowl during routine service.
