This oil line gasket seals the connection between the oil supply line and the turbocharger housing. It prevents pressurized oil from leaking at the joint, which would otherwise cause a drop in lubrication pressure to the turbocharger bearings. A failed gasket leads to oil seepage visible at the turbocharger inlet, and in severe cases can result in bearing starvation and turbocharger failure. As an original AGCO component, the gasket is formed to the same thickness and crush profile as the factory-installed seal, ensuring the correct clamping load is applied when the banjo bolt is torqued to specification. Replace the gasket whenever the oil line is disturbed during turbocharger service.
