This lubrication pump is installed on the gearbox of the host tractor. It circulates oil to the gear train and bearing surfaces, ensuring a continuous film of lubricant reaches the meshing teeth and rotating elements. The pump is driven by a shaft within the gearbox housing; its output pressure is determined by the internal clearances and the oil viscosity. A worn pump reduces oil flow, which can lead to gear noise, localized overheating, and accelerated wear on the synchronizer assemblies and bearing races. As an original component, the pump body and rotor are machined to the same internal clearances as the original assembly, so no shimming or adapter plates are required for installation. On reinstall, ensure the drive coupling engages fully and that the mounting gasket is replaced.
