This tension roller maintains proper belt tension within the pneumatic system of the host tractor. It is mounted in the belt drive path and keeps the belt engaged with the pulleys, preventing slip under varying load conditions. A worn roller bearing or a flattened contact surface allows belt slack, which reduces airflow from the pneumatic pump and can cause intermittent system response. This component is manufactured by AGCO and is machined to the same pulley-face geometry and bearing preload as the original assembly, so no shimming or adapter is needed during installation. When replacing, inspect the belt for wear and ensure the roller spins freely before tightening the mounting bolt to the specified torque.
