This solenoid valve controls hydraulic flow to the power take-off (PTO) clutch pack on the host tractor. It is mounted in the PTO valve block and receives an electrical signal from the transmission control unit to engage or disengage the PTO. When the solenoid is energized, it shifts the spool, allowing pressurized oil to actuate the clutch piston. A failed solenoid will cause the PTO to either not engage, engage with a delay, or disengage unexpectedly under load. The valve is built to the original manufacturer's electrical resistance and flow-rate specifications, ensuring consistent clutch modulation without altering engagement timing.
